1. A method (100) of preparing host sensitized near-infrared down-conversion and visible up-conversion luminescence material, characterized in that, the luminescent material of the invention comprises of the chemical formula (Y1-xyErxYby) 2MoO6, wherein x is 1-10 mol percent, y is 1-10 mol percent, the method (100) comprising steps of : dissolving Y2O3, Er2O3 and Yb2O3 in nitric acid to prepare solution A; dissolving oxalic acid in doubled distilled water in a ratio of 1 : 3 (Y2O3 : C2H2O4) to obtain oxalic acid solution B; adding solution B drop wise to the solution A to obtain a white precipitate; washing the white precipitate using doubled distilled water; filtering and drying the white precipitate at room temperature; wherein, mixing the white precipitate with a stoichiometric amount of MoO3, followed by the heat treatment and calcination at 1100°C for 4-5 h results in the formation of luminescent material erbium and ytterbium co-doped yttrium molybdate.
